Prescription drug abuse, misuse and overdose are increasing at an alarming rate.
Become a Member
National programs combined with local efforts are vital to changing attitudes, educating individuals and effectively changing behavior around substance use disorder. Becoming a member of the Council will enable your agency to participate in life changing evidence-based programs and strategies that align with the Comprehensive Community Plan for Porter County.
Members are also able to access annual community funds that assist with addressing underage drinking; marijuana use; and opioid/heroin prevention, treatment and recovery best practices. In 2017, we were able to disburse $164,000.00 to agencies providing evidence-based initiatives to member agencies.
There is no cost for individual or organizational memberships, just a willingness to participate in strategies to reduce substance use disorder in our community and network with others that have the same goals.
